Just recovering from last summer where I updated some of my equipment and home enterprise stuff. Mom had an emergency surgery and she could not take me anywhere this summer. Amazon was helpful in my finding some better photo equipment like the Canon 28-125 mm zoom with the image stabilizer. I bought a Canon 75-300m zoom supposedly for film cameras but film camera lenses work just fine on digital cameras too.I TOOK SOME CANDID SHOTS WITH THAT ONE!!! I found the digital Rebel XTi this summer on Amazon. And they had these handy little sets of filters with the UV, Polarizer and the Indoor filter, all in a little wallet. I also bought a black version of my digital rebel XT, Unfortunately in 2005 MP Superstore had fixed me up with a silver digital rebel XT and a Sigma zoom lens.I hear MP Superstore is now out of business. I had the money to buy the plaque, book and the trophy I was entitled to at the International Society of Photography (picture.com). It was for my photo of the red Canadian Cargo Ship ASSINIBOINE leaving the Port of Toeldo last year.I previously bought a plaque of my published poem DEATH from International Society of Poetry (Same people in Owings Mills, MD) in 1998..Commemorating my dad dying in 1998. And from some of my photos you can see I bought two nice new folk guitars because like on of my photos suggests, I used to play the folk guitar in high school. My mom was in the hospital recovering from surgery and God gave me the grace and inspiration to buy these folk guitars. Just teaching myself to play again. ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY!
I was just playing to myself like a prayer to God an old hymn-"Count your many blessings, name them one by one. Count your blessings see what God hath done." I had about 200 of my old 35 mm sldes scanned at Dale Labs.I am amazed what great photos my $230.00 film camera could take! Many of them are on my premium and deluxe galleries.I used the ME Super between 1983-1999 when mom told me to give it away to the lawn boy because it did not work anymore. I ran that thing until it broke down. You might call my attempts at photography SHOE STRING PHOTOGRAPHY, INC.! (IN the early 90's I used to budget myself $50.00 per month on film and developing. My Seattle Filmworks home stsudy courses in the early 90s suggested all I really need for my photography was a short zoom and a long zoom-like I bought for myself this summer!
